Choosing Notace: Michi 1, Yama T1 and Koto 1
Road, trail and court demand different movements. Compare drop, stack, outsoles and foot hold across three Notace models, then relate those differences to your own training and everyday routes.
Model specifications and intended use

Choose the activity before the model
Start with the activity that occupies most of your week. For road running, gym sessions and commuting, begin by trying Michi 1. For mountain paths and uneven ground, include Yama T1. For lateral movement, stopping and turning on court, examine Koto 1’s outsole and foot hold. This is a fit-to-task decision, not a performance ranking. A shared natural-movement philosophy does not erase the differences between running, hiking and court play.
Zero drop is not the same as a thin sole
Drop is the heel-to-forefoot height difference; stack is the thickness between foot and ground. A 15mm stack on Michi 1 or Yama T1, or 19mm on Koto 1, can coexist with zero drop. The midsole still exists, and eTPU does not mean an absence of cushioning. Shopping by a 0mm label alone misses outsole pattern, thickness and hold. Those details explain why the same brand offers different constructions.
Read the outsole against terrain and movement
Yama T1’s 3mm angled lugs are part of its trail construction, but lug depth alone does not establish grip on every muddy path or wet rock. For Koto 1, test the non-marking herringbone rubber and PU-cage lacing against court movements, and follow venue rules. Compare Michi 1’s general-purpose outsole with your own road and gym needs rather than assuming that all three models serve the same task.
Bring real use conditions to fitting
Use your usual sports socks. Check toe room while standing, then assess walking, heel lift and controlled turns. A wide toe box does not fit every foot, and extra forefoot space should not come at the cost of obvious heel slip. The weights in the table are brand-listed men’s US 9 references, not values for every size. Compare like-for-like sizes and conditions; a few grams should not outweigh a good fit.
Adapt from familiar footwear and check buying details
When changing drop or construction, begin with short use in familiar settings and increase according to your response, not a universal schedule. Footwear selection is not treatment or an injury-free guarantee. Images and specifications narrow the shortlist; fitting confirms it. In China, use Notace’s Xiaohongshu store entry or ask TrailMo about the in-store selection. There is no Notace Tmall store link. Check the actual channel for current price, sizes and stock.
