Can a wind shell replace a waterproof shell?

Water repellency alone does not make a wind shell waterproof. Wind shells address wind and on-the-move comfort; waterproof shells require model-specific checks of membrane, seams and rain-protection specifications. Wind River POD is a wind shell. The 26/27FW Tsurugi, Lady Bug and Climatic use their own Tamak configurations. The catalogue describes a PFAS-free Tamak membrane but C6 surface treatment, so the membrane claim does not describe the whole garment. Prepare rain protection for the actual route and exposure.
